As part of Tasmeen Doha's 2022 festival - The Future of Design - all attendees were handed a 'Radical Recipes' book - an anthology of recipes gathered from their community which I contributed to. The collection explores personal narratives of memories and identity, but equally, contextual reflections on issues such as borders, cultures and food sovereignty. My piece - Couscous Gamaz - shares one of many versions of the dish, and a reflection on the role colonialism has played in reducing and codifying it to an archetype.
